Jacoby's Blessing

Last Sunday 9/4/2011 we had the opportunity to give Jacoby his name for the records in our church as well as bless him. Here are some pictures of the event.

His First Hair Cut, and yes it needed it because it was too long to do a Mohawk. Mike was really nervous and we probably cut it a little too short. He looks adorable though no matter what! Oh and don't worry his face isn't smothered in the towel as it appears Mike's hand is holding his head.
Just look at how long his hair was on top WOW!
Getting ready for Church, all smiles, thank goodness.
And this is what a serious face looks like... He is ready and looking SO handsome!
Proud Parents

I don't look the best in this picture, but just had to include it because Jacoby looks so cute when he smiles. (My face is due to trying to tell mom how to work the camera)
Poppy and Grammy drove 16 hours each way just for Sunday, That is more time spent in the car than they actually got with Jacoby. They said it was definitely worth it though and we were glad to have them here.
We were also blessed that Aunt Katie could come, she also tolerated the drive. THANKS so much for coming. Jacoby is all tuckered out from a pretty long day.
A few more pictures after church enjoying the nice fall weather
This shirt doesn't lie he is Mommy's Little (sometimes BIG) Monster :)
Mike made Cornhole boards, so we had to try them out even though they aren't done.
Don't look too close Dad is playing with BYU beanbags :)
Katie and Daisy May just hanging out.... All in ALL we had a wonderful weekend and really enjoyed the company.

Our Little Angel

Well, it has been quite the adventure this last year, with applying to UMKC, coming out for an interview, getting pregnant, moving to Missouri, and welcoming our angel into our lives. It has taken some time to feel good enough to post but here are a couple more pictures of Jacoby. Like Mike wrote in our profile our life could not be any better! We truly feel blessed everyday!!!

Thanks Caetie Carter for the wonderful job on the pictures (above)

Below are photos of our everyday life- just enjoying time together
Bob meeting Jacoby, he isn't real sure what to think especially when Jacoby screams
They'll be best buds I know it!!!
Jacoby's first Red Sox game (Mike and I purchased the tickets for our 7 year anniversary, luckily Jacoby was the perfect baby for all three, yes THREE Games.)
Align CenterWe wanted a picture with Jacoby Ellsbury (#2 on first base) but this is the best we could get, especially since he was hurt the second night with a pitch thrown at his back!
Enjoying the seventh inning stretch. Also notice how close our seats are to the field, it was SWEET!!! I think we were in row D this night. Thanks Hun for a awesome anniversary gift.
First Full Sunday at church (Thanks Aunt Megan for the outfit)

Well I think that catches us up a bit, I will try to stay more on top of it and hopefully next week will have some posted of his blessing which will be done this Sunday if anyone wants to come to Kansas City for it. You are more than welcome to.

"Faces" Absolutely Priceless

For all of you who are questioning if Jacoby looks more like me or Mike.
I think this might help, Like Father Like Son!

Glad to be HOME!!!

Release day 7/26/11
First sponge bath (Thanks Dad)
Look at all my hair, Dad insisted on a mohawk
After being home a few days we had our first Pediatric appointment where we found out Jacoby had Jaundice, luckily the dr ordered a light bed to be delivered to our house so he could be comfortable at home. He only had to use it for 24 hours, and didn't seem to mind it.

Oh those smiles, we will forever love them!
